Inverness Caledonian Thistle was founded in 1994
For this week’s #ThrowbackThirtyThursday post, we are highlighting this programme from the Inverness Caledonian Thistle v. Dundee Game on the 28th of September 1994. This was the first B & Q Cup Tie played by the newly formed Inverness club. Before this, three teams were founding members of the North of Scotland Football Association: Clachnacuddin, Caledonian, and Thistle. All these clubs had won several titles, and in 1973, Inverness Thistle came close to being elected to the Scottish League. In 1993, the Scottish League voted to expand from 38 teams to 40. As a result, Inverness Caledonian Thistle was founded in August 1994, and they began playing in the Third Division. Like us, Inverness Caledonian Thistle is celebrating their 30th Birthday. Happy Birthday, @ICTFC !!
